Malopolska Regional Development Agency (MARR S.A.), one of the greatest institutions of this type in Poland, focuses on important actions leading to positive changes in regional environment: restructuring of economy, land development, EU grants service, cooperation with self-government authorities, investment service, enterprise support as well as international cooperation and creation of Małopolska image in Europe and worldwide.
As a Regional Financing Institution, MARR S.A. is a significant regional institution in the field of financial programmes service for the SME sector. Agency has developed it’s own financial instruments for enterprise support. It is a specialized partner institution for regional and local self-governments, for non-governmental organizations and representatives of various professional groups, for international partners and the most regional initiatives.
Projects carried out by MARR S.A. within last several years cover new fields of activities: promotion of Małopolska province’s companies export, territorial marketing, regional brand creation, new instruments of cooperation with companies, involvement in elaborate investment processes.
Malopolska Regional Development Agency Foreign Direct Investment Support provides an investor with information about real estates, projects, encouragement and investment opportunities in region. Agency also offers support in investment process as an investror’s/employer’s representative in administrative procedures and in coordination of works with completment of documents required by the administrative law.
Within frames of promotion of Małopolska province investment offers, MARR S.A. offers free of charge run of offers reported by local self-governmet authorities, transactors and individuals, preparation of promoting materials about investment opportunities in Malopolska province and organization of fairs and conferences.

Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region sets the paths for the Region’s economic policy, working towards its economic development. Its Team for Economic Development promotes Małopolska through conducting an information policy promoting the Region’s economic potential. The team supports the provision of services to national and foreign investors interested in undertaking business activity in the Region. It also deals with the organisation and co-organisation of activation events and publicity measures promoting Małopolska as a place for business operations. It also pursues actions related to carrying out and initiating research concerning the promotion of investments and develops and prepares reports concerning foreign investments in the Region.

Krakowski Park Technologiczny Sp. z o.o. (Cracow Technology Park Ltd.) is a company managing the Cracow Special Economic Zone. The Cracow zone has operated for 10 years. So far, it has attracted small and medium-sized investors, such as Car Technology and Unipress, and also such well known companies as MAN Trucks, Comarch, RP Donnelly, Motorola, Shell. To date, 65 permits for conducting business activity have been issued in the CSEZ, and over 4000 jobs have been created. At present, the zone covers an area of 416.68 ha, and will be extended to 595.07 ha. The zone offers mainly greenfield investment areas.
