The Agricultural Property Agency has more than 100,000 hectares of land for restricted purposes which is suitable for investments. In many cases the land has a service infrastructure and a particularly attractive location. Most of the land is situated within the administrative borders of towns, including 5 per cent which is located in Warsaw, Cracow, Poznań or Szczecin. The Agricultural Property Agency hands over a part of their land free of charge to the economic zone in support of Polish entrepreneurship.
The result of both institutions’ cooperation is to be the National Resources of Investment Properties: the register of offers of large areas (exceeding 50 ha) owned mainly by the Agricultural Property Agency, the Military Property Agency and the local government units.
PAIiIZ now owns 1,322 investment plots, 176 of which constitute the property of the Agricultural Property Agency. So far the land of the Agricultural Property Agency has been used for the investments of concerns such as General Motors, Opel, Sharp, Toyota, Michelin and Ikea.
