Mitsubishi Electric Europe, a member of the Japan Mitsubishi Group, opened an Industrial Automation Centre in Balice Gmina near Cracow. It is one of the company’s 6 European branches. The Centre will be the company’s headquarters for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Mitsubishi Electric is a global leader in the production of automation and industrial robotics. There are over 80 Japanese companies in Poland alone, the customers of Mitsubishi; the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary are the next tens of companies.
The Polish branch of Mitsubishi Electric came into being from a merger of two companies: MPL Technology sp. z o.o. and MPL Tech Group sp. z o.o., which so far have been distributors of industrial automation produced by the Japanese corporation. All branches in both companies have been taken over by Mitsubishi Electric Europe. More than 60 people have been employed.
