American Tycoon has chosen Małopolska
Modern infrastructure, access to qualified employees with knowledge of several foreign languages and location enabling business and social development were the main assets taken into account by the American company Amway when it chose Kraków Business Park
Amway Business Centre Europe was formally opened on the 7th of October.
Amway, a global leader on the direct sales market, specializing in direct sale of detergents, cosmetics and dietary supplements, will employ more than 200 employees in Kraków. 51 service centers, employing 16 000 people, already operate in the capital of Małopolska, and staff of Kraków centers constitute 30% of all persons employed in this sector in Poland.
Małopolska is an economically strong region, and services play the most important role in generating gross value added. Business entities operating on the Małopolska market may obtain support for development of their companies, and business environment institutions - for projects stimulating local entrepreneurship. This support consists in, among other things, providing advisory services for SMEs, developing an innovation system and creating loan funds for companies. Throughout the past two years, as many as 590 investment projects have been chosen by the Voivodeship Executive Board to receive grants from European Union funds within the Małopolska Regional Operational Programme, and regional authorities have allocated over 190 million euro for entrepreneurship support.
